Also known as: KPV Tripeptide, Alpha-MSH Fragment 11-13

Overview

A tripeptide derived from the C-terminal end of alpha-melanocyte stimulating hormone (α-MSH). Possesses potent anti-inflammatory properties without the melanogenic effects of the parent hormone.

Half-Life
~30 minutes
Typical Dose
200–500 mcg
Frequency
1-2x daily
Cycle Length
4-12 weeks

Administration

SubcutaneousOralTopical

Benefits

  • Potent anti-inflammatory without immunosuppression
  • Supports gut lining repair and reduces intestinal inflammation
  • Antimicrobial properties against bacteria and fungi
  • May improve skin conditions (eczema, psoriasis)
  • Crosses the blood-brain barrier for neuroinflammation

Side Effects

  • Injection site redness (mild)
  • Slight fatigue (rare)
  • GI discomfort with oral use (uncommon)

Mechanism of Action

  • Inhibits NF-kB nuclear translocation and activation
  • Reduces pro-inflammatory cytokine production (TNF-α, IL-6, IL-1β)
  • Modulates inflammasome pathways
  • Directly enters intestinal epithelial cells to reduce inflammation
  • Exhibits direct antimicrobial activity on cell membranes

Contraindications

  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding
